General Description
:
Location. Villagg tas-sbejha is two kilometres outside gharb, malta, on the tiny island of gozo to the north of the main island. The nearest beach is one kilometre and there are several bays with good snorkelling within five kilometres. Hotel features. The villagg tas-sbejha hotel is a cluster of apartments built in yellow stone, with arches and wooden beams, surrounding a large landscaped swimming pool with sunbeds for residents. The complicated has tiny meeting rooms and underground parking. Accommodation at villagg tas-sbejha is self-catering and there is a grocery store 500 metres from the complex. Restaurant ta 'frenc, a converted farmhouse with garden for alfresco dining, is two kilometres from the hotel. There are nearby facilities for aerobics, pilates and yoga. The beach offers jet skiing, windsurfing, snorkelling, and scuba diving. Bikes and scooters can be hired in gharb. Guestrooms. The villagg tas-sbejha comprises 26 one-bedroom maisonettes that can each accommodate up to four people. The rustic apartments have cream walls and wooden furniture. Each maisonette has a dining room and tiny kitchen, living room as well as bathrooms with shower. Satellite television is also available. Expert tip. The church and basilica on the town square of gharb was built in 1699. Legend has it that a mother wept for her son kidnapped by turks in front of the church's painting of st demetrius, whereupon the saint rode his horse out of the painting to rescue the boy.
