The newly restructured howard johnson mediterranea hotel and suites is located in a usual maltese fishing village opposite the island where the apostle st. Paul was shipwrecked. It is in an idyllic position, located on top of a hill, which commends a breathtaking view of the scenic fishing harbour. The bay just below the intricate offers first-rate aquatic sports, bathing facilities & daily boat trips to malta's sister islands gozo & comino, are also available. A casino, cinema, local taverns & bars, & other various amusement spots are only a few minutes away. The main public bus route, leading to the island's main attractions such as the antique capital city valletta & the medieval city of mdina, is just outside the hotel. official language of malta is maltese and english. Malta is just under 3 hours fly time from london, and air malta / british airways fly to malta twice / three times daily. All primary european airlines also operate to malta.
