General Description: Set in lush gardens right on sliema waterfront, the fortina hotel is an all-inclusive resort hotel offering extensive spa services. The shops and cruise departure points in sliema harbour are 400 metres away and the hotel is five kilometres from valletta, malta's walled capital city. Malta international airport is eight kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 10 minutes. This seven-floor property features 190 air- conditioned guestrooms decorated in shades of cream and blue with maple wood furnishings and private balconies overlooking the gardens, or the city walls and the sea. Amenities include satellite tv, high-speed internet access, direct-dial phones, tea and coffee making facilities. Guests of the fortina hotel can dine in the main buffet restaurant (all inclusive) and enjoy table d'hôte menus in four à la carte restaurants offering cuisine from china and thailand, italy, india, france and the mediterranean. Those feeling busy can head to the fitness centre which offers a gym, aerobics, two pools and spa tub. The concentrated heated seawater pool has a high level of healing salt and minerals. busy guests can play mini-golf, or take part in pilates and yoga classes at the spa centre for individual or group sessions (surcharge applies). The hotel organizes scuba diving excursions, instruction and supervised dives (surcharge applies). Location Description: Facilities include 2 indoor & 2 outdoor pools, whirlpool, fitness/beauty and thalasso centre. With complimentary buffet lunch, dinner, drinks, two thalasso pool sessions daily, unlimited entrance to fortina fitness centre and a harbour cruise, this is probably one of the best deals on the island. During summer months the hotel further offers an elementary diving lesson. Highly recommended to families. (db 07/08) classy building set on 7 floors directly facing the sea. This 'all inclusive' property is situated in the heart of fashionable sliema. The hotel commands spectacular views of the capital city valletta across mediterranean waters. Building is a 5 minute walk from shopping centres, cafes and restaurants. Busses from the nearby terminus service routes to the island's prime attractions. Valletta can also be reached by a 10 minute ferry.
